Operations Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

Activity Coordinator

Description

The Activity Coordinator is an individual with a positive, upbeat personality. He/she will be responsible for the planning of a wide range of stimulating activities and outings, to keep the clients occupied and energetic, thus stimulating their mind and lift their spirits.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, coordinate and implement a variety of activities for the residents.
  • Maintain a physical environment that conforms to senior centre policies with regards to safety.
  • Provide individual care and assistance with instrumental activities of daily living.
  • Assists with transporting, communicating and setting up of outside activity programs.
  • Assists in ordering or purchasing supplies for activities and picking up materials needed from outside facility.
  • Liaise with Maintenance, Housekeeping and/or Kitchen regarding the setup of activities, as needed.
  • Co-ordinate and communicate with third parties for the planning of outings.

General Maintenance (Labourer)

Job Description

Report to: Head of Maintenance

To work as part of the maintenance team identifying any basic faults, which include but are not limited to, assisting technicians in installations (both mechanical and Electrical), repairs, calibration, and maintenance of all the facility equipment according to health and safety regulations and the applicable legislative framework. Keeping in line with planned and corrective maintenance schedules to minimise equipment and plant breakdowns. The timely delivery of these duties is considered critical and in line with our business objectives.

 

Essential Duties

General Maintenance Employee is to:

  • Abide by and adhere to all health and safety regulations applicable to the site, equipment as well as others impacting residents, visitors and employees within the facility.
  • Take care of routine maintenance/ procedures on pools as required.
  • Perform any plastering, painting and basic builder works but not limited to cleaning works where deemed necessary.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic systems within the facility in a timely manner.
  • Ensure required inspections/ works are in compliance with legislation and technical standards and logged accordingly.
  • Perform basic mechanical skills including but not limited to works related to cleaning of air-conditioning systems, pumps, filters, plumbing, and basic repair on carpentry, welding and landscaping.
  • Be responsible for his working tools, workshop tools and equipment within the Village including the spare parts and/or any other material used in the provision of a fully-fledged handy man service delivery.
  • Help the Head of Maintenance in ensuring efficient and transparent management of a maintenance stock system identifying the required minimum stock levels to ensure timely delivery of service.
  • Make technical and recommendations to the Head of Maintenance on improvements of facilities and plant equipment (includes energy saving implementation).
  • Ensure utilisation of equipment user manuals, and work orders to perform the required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose basic faults, replace any required parts, test and carry out any calibration procedures after repair to ensure fully functionality of the said equipment.
  • Address promptly all residents’ complaints and resolve problems as well as oversee the supervision of contractors working on site.
  • Record and log any works/repairs or interventions done in the village as instructed by the Head of Maintenance to ensure fully traceability of works.
  • Ensure that transport vehicles used within the Village will be kept within the recommended manufacturer services intervals and works done in a timely manner to avoid stoppages and prevent breakages.
  • Perform maintenance checklist and basic repairs on any technical equipment as directed by the Head of Maintenance.

Carehome Hosts

Job description

  • To provide hospitality services to residents
  • Serving meals, snacks and beverages at their request in the location of their choice.
  • To maintain the dining rooms in a state of readiness for residents to use at their leisure.
  • To help maintain a welcoming, stimulating, attractive and safe environment for residents, preserving dignity and respect.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve Breakfast in the floors. Assisting any resident to fill in the daily menus and help with any requests they may have. Ensuring no resident feels in any way rushed or pressured to finish a meal.
  • To ensure servery stocks are replenished on a daily basis and stock rota is adhered and all food are date and labelled
  • Ensure serveries are kept clean at all times
  • Serve breakfast/lunch/dinner, assisted by care workers, in the dining room. Plate up meals for residents who choose to eat in their rooms. Ensure all required condiments are placed on the tray for support workers to take to the resident’s room’s . Return all trolleys to kitchen at the end of service.
  • Clear dining room.
  • Undertake any other duties.
  • Understand and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Description of Role:

Requirement of role:

Housekeeping Staff

Job Description

  • Cleans to the required standard as set by Policy & Procedures.
  • Performs daily cleaning of rooms, storage/pantry areas, offices, corridors, stairs waiting rooms, treatment rooms, reception & public areas as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Executive Housekeeper and in strict accordance to the standards and procedures of Hilltop Gardens.
  • Performs periodic heavy cleaning as requested.
  • Physically checks discrepant rooms when needed and reports back to Housekeeping.
  • Replenishes all supplies and amenities in guest’s rooms as required.
  • Transports waste to proper disposal area.
  • Ensures that the department delivers an exceptional level of services and is customer focused at all times.
  • Greets Patients, Residents, and responds effectively to guest concerns and requests. Follows up to ensure satisfaction.

 

Requirements

Ideally have previous work experience, preferably in a hotel as a room attendant or in nursing homes.  Able to work weekends and public holidays.

Hilltop Gardens are seeking to recruit Care Assistants

Hilltop Gardens Residential Care-home is 152 bedded purposely built residential care facility which aims to offer the peace of mind that the elderly needs and dependency change over time. The necessary customized clinical care will be provided by the qualified clinicians, nursing and caring staff and allied health professionals employed by the Village.

  • We are seeking to recruit Care Assistants with work experience in various healthcare set-ups. The ideal candidates must be fluent in English and have experience in similar positions. Must be trained to assist residents or patients with activities of daily living.
  • The Care Assistant will be required to work in different healthcare set-ups under the supervision of qualified nurses, including domiciliary care.
