Hilltop Gardens, AX Care’s premium retirement village, recently celebrated its fifth anniversary. Opened in 2015, the upmarket complex located in Naxxar has evolved into a thriving community where residents can enjoy the best years of their life benefitting from luxury amenities and personalised care.

From the conceptual and planning stages, Hilltop Gardens was designed to provide its residents with private apartment-style living within a self-contained village environment. The complex boasts its own landscaped gardens, restaurant, indoor and outdoor pools, chapel, and many other state-of-the-art facilities. Over the years, this “village within a village” concept has created a true community of belonging and support.

The past year saw AX Care face many unprecedented challenges created by the coronavirus pandemic. Despite the circumstances, the AX Care team’s commitment to providing professional, individualised care to its clients has remained unwavering throughout.
“From the start, the entire Hilltop Gardens team has been committed to providing holistic, person-centred care within a stimulating community environment. There was arguably no greater demonstration of this promise than during the outbreak of the coronavirus. Amid the toughest period of the pandemic, around 100 members of our staff volunteered to reside within Hilltop Gardens for 10 weeks in order to curb the spread of the virus. It is this level of care and dedication that sets Hilltop Gardens apart as one of Malta’s most respected healthcare providers,” said Ms Charmaine Montesin, General Manager of AX Care.
The special anniversary milestone was marked with a commemorative holy mass consecrated at the Hilltop Garden chapel, followed by a sit-down dinner for residents and invited relatives. The event was attended by AX Group Chairman Mr Angelo Xuereb, Director of Construction & Development Ms Denise Micallef Xuereb, and AX Group CEO Mr Michael Warrington.
